Thinking Aloud - Saturday Morning

Good Afternoon Thinkers - Today is the 109th day of the Biden Kakistocracy. How does sending tens of billions of dollars to other countries, make ours better or stronger?  How do policies that keep businesses closed and people away from each other make our country better or stronger? How does limiting individual freedoms make our country better or stronger?

When a sentence begins, "Michelle Obama says," I immediately disregard the entire thing and move on. The only reason I bring this up is because "Michelle Obama" is trending on Twitter.

One of BLM's guiding principles is titled "Black Villages" and it states: 'Disrupting Western prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and "villages" that collectively care for one another.' Democratic Congressperson Cori Bush of Missouri took a big step down this path when she diminished the title of 'mothers' and used the woke/inclusive term 'birthing persons' to include non-cisgender breeders. The government and its racist allies in popular culture and the media have spent the last generation attempting to make fatherhood irrelevant and the effect in the Black community has been catastrophic. Now they are doing the same thing with motherhood and the results will be even worse. If motherhood is not regarded as special and sacred - what is?

So tomorrow, I guess I will be greeting people with 'Happy Birthing Person's Day!" 
Somehow that just soesn't have the same impact as "Happy Mother's Day". Maybe that's just my paternalistic bias showing.

And please note that the term 'birthing person' has about the same level of familial connection as the term 'brood mare' and that is not accidental. It also makes the disposal of unwanted pregnancy matter much more clinical and unemotional.

To those who have committed to the act of physical reproduction and the delivery of new comrades into the global collective,

whatever your gender identity happens to be. May the central government sustain you, provide for you, and indoctrinate your offspring to become stalwart defenders of diversity, equity, and inclusion. May they have the freedom to choose their complete personhood and throw off the manacles of patriarchal systemic oppression. And may they bear witness to the benevolence of an all encompassing central authority.

 

We ask this in the name of the Judiciary, The Legislative, and The Executive...

Ok - I'll admit it. I'm not very good at racial calculus. So, help me out here. When brown Muslims kill other brown Muslims how much are we supposed to care? Does it matter that kids were killed or that the bomb was detonated near a school? The article says that angry mobs attacked first responders and health care workers attempting to assist the injured, is this morally wrong or is it ok if the injured are on the 'wrong team'?

 

I know how this would play out if this were in the US. The ethnicities of the casualties would be counted and white nationalists would be blamed - or it would be ignored and considered 'mostly peaceful' if perpetrated by a state approved terrorist group.

 

But overseas, how does it work?
